As a volunteer, you assist with the improvement of the communities future opportunities. These include helping children develop language skills by teaching them English, maintaining their culture, and improving the quality of life in the community.
On this project you will have the opportunity to work with 2 schools and a kindergarten within the communities we partner with. You will provide English classes in both formal and informal settings. Other classes and activities that run on an adhoc basis can be: leading art therapy activities with special needs children and running after school activities. During school holidays, you will have the opportunity to lead summer camp activities during school holidays.
This program involves lesson plan preparation. Volunteers receive 5hr intro to TEFL methodology i.e. classroom management, lesson planning, and receive regular feedback and observation from qualified staff.
